6 Ways to Stop Sabotaging Yourself And Start Creating Your Own Life

My big dream for a long time has been to do the very thing I am doing for work today but for too long I pushed back.  I was afraid to take the RISK.

I was afraid to be seen;

I was afraid I didn’t know enough;

I was afraid I didn’t have what it takes;

I was afraid I couldn’t profit enough doing the work and the list goes on and on.

Let me ask you, what crazy notion or dream do you have?  Are you afraid to pursue that inkling, the notion or nudging that very calling in your heart to bring forth something beautiful?

If so, one reason it may be difficult for you to pursue your dream is because leaving the familiar behind isn’t easy to do.  Maybe you don’t know what to do to get it started or how or if I can make it happen.

Here are a few things that I learned that can help:

First and foremost, I learned to get comfortable in my own skin.  There is nothing more intimate than getting to know who you are on a deeper level.  This certainly helped me to develop an appreciation for how I am wired and get comfortable just being me.  Few people take the time to get to know themselves as adults.  Because we evolve over time, it is critical that we revisit and explore our identity often.

After learning more about me, I learned to start trusting my gut and believing in myself.

I mustered up enough courage to go toward the pilot light inside me, that dream that wouldn’t go away instead of the dark thoughts that tried to shut me down.

After I knew the dream was real and not some passing fantasy, I committed to live my life to the fullest.

Then, I began crafting my dream into a vision for how I wanted to live my life.  This gave my dream legs so I could take action toward it.  My way became more clearer and the vision took shape; and

Finally, I now take steps daily to go after my vision.  That means taking purposeful action.

The truth is no matter what the vision, it invites each of us to somehow make a difference in the world.  The most difficult part of this was pushing away the resistance to stop.  I even found an easier way to get around the doubt and fear instead of resisting it.  What you resist will actually persist.  It is counterintuitive but focusing on the vision instead of doubt, fear or beliefs that failure is looming kept the vision coming towards me.  When I pushed out the resistance, started listening to my crazy notion (it’s really intuition), hired a great business mentor and actively participated in a high level mastermind, I started making progress doing what I love.

Today, I am rapidly expanding my reach, sharing my message online and connecting with women who want me to help them push their dreams out into the world.  I promise you, if I can do it, you can too.

I’m not promising you the journey is easy and there are no hiccups along the way, but, the journey is well worth it.  It is exciting and adventurous to think you will see a dream that started as a seed that being birthed in the world.

If you are willing to commit to give yourself the opportunity to awaken your sleeping beauty and the big dream that resides within you;

If you are willing to allow someone to help you push out the mindsets that are holding you back;

If you are ready to believe in you and take the time to have faith that there is something more for you to do;

I’ll be here for you.  I am here to help, to help you shine.
